Environment
At Cycle Surgery we are environmentally conscious. We recycle everything we can. All metal products such as worn or damaged frames, chains, cassette/clusters, rims, hubs, spokes, cranks, bottom brackets all get sent away for recycling. All paper, cardboard, plastic and glass related products get taken to collection points in Canberra.
We don't buy plastic bags, so don't forget your own for your purchases (we will have some reused packaging for those that forget).
At this stage there is no facilities to recycle used tubes and tyres, (although we do cut off all the metal valves from tubes) but as soon as something becomes available we will be onto it.
We are also on the ACTEW green choice plan. Greenchoice is ActewAGL's green energy program that lets everybody help the environment by supporting renewable energy generation. Through Greenchoice you help us buy electricity from sources that don't harm the environment, and sources that cannot be depleted or can be replaced such as wind power, solar, mini-hydro and biomass.
